I watched the nerve-wracking final at a pub in society hill… afterwards, there were cars driving around in center city, trailing Italian flags and honking their horns in celebration.
My friend Erin, who works at the French restaurant Le Bec Fin, tells me that some subversive employee wrote “Viva Italia!” on the staff whiteboard the day before… ;-)
